Why Opsily for Ollama Enterprise?

Self-hosted Ollama lacks the governance, compliance, and multi-tenant features enterprises need. Opsily adds them all.

Zero to production in hours, not weeks

Ollama itself is a command-line runtime with no built-in authentication, RBAC, or audit logging. You either expose it on an open HTTP endpoint or spend weeks wrapping it with proxies and middleware. Opsily does that wrapping for you. SSO with LDAP, Active Directory, and OAuth. Role-based access control per user and group. Audit logs for every model inference. Deploy once, configure governance, and you are done.

Compliance and data residency from day one

Enterprises need to prove GDPR compliance and data sovereignty. Self-hosted Ollama on a random AWS region does not answer audit questions. Opsily runs in ISO 27001-certified EU data centers by default. Your model inference stays on your server. Your documents and conversation history never leave your region. GDPR is native, not an afterthought. No vendor lock-in: export your data, export your models, walk away clean.

Scaling and high availability without infrastructure expertise

Ollama runs on a single instance. One machine, one GPU, one instance of Open WebUI. Multi-user deployments quickly exhaust single-instance resources: connection pooling fails, model load times spike, multi-tenant isolation breaks. Opsily handles multi-instance deployments with Redis-backed sessions, PostgreSQL state, shared vector databases, and load balancing. You add users; we add compute. No DevOps, no guesswork.

What Enterprise Deployment Actually Requires

Ollama is developer software. It is brilliant at what it does: run open-source language models on your GPU. But Ollama alone is not an enterprise platform.

It has no native authentication. You get an HTTP endpoint. Anyone with network access can call it. Securing that requires a proxy: Nginx, Caddy, or a reverse-proxy layer you build yourself.

It has no RBAC. All users see all models. All users can download, delete, or misconfigure any model. Teams need user roles, group permissions, and per-model access controls. Ollama has none of this.

It has no audit logging. Compliance frameworks like GDPR, HIPAA, and DORA require proof that the right people accessed the right data at the right time. Ollama makes no log of inference requests. If a user uploads a confidential document to RAG, there is no record of who saw it.

It has no multi-tenancy isolation. Ollama was built for single-user, single-instance use. Deploying it for teams means trusting that one bad actor, one misconfiguration, or one runaway request will not crash the platform for everyone.

It has no compliance framework. Self-hosting on any VPS, cloud region, or data center does not prove GDPR compliance. You have to document the entire infrastructure, prove encryption at rest and in transit, verify access controls, and contract for data processing agreements. That is on you.

Open WebUI adds a governance layer: multi-user support, model management, RAG, and web search integration. But deploying Ollama + Open WebUI still leaves you managing Kubernetes, persistent storage, vector databases, authentication proxies, and compliance audits.

Enterprises do not want that workload. They want Ollama at scale without the infrastructure tax.

€1,300/year

The hidden cost of self-hosted DevOps

A developer at €80/hour spending just 2 hours per month on Ollama infrastructure adds up to €1,920 per year. Managed hosting removes that burden.

How Enterprise Deployment Works

Get from evaluation to production with multi-user governance, compliance, and scaling built in.

1
Choose your server and region

Pick the compute plan that matches your model size and user count. Specify EU data residency if needed. Opsily deploys a private instance with PostgreSQL, Redis, and your chosen vector database pre-configured.

2
Connect to your Ollama models and cloud APIs

Point Open WebUI to your local Ollama instance or mix in OpenAI-compatible cloud models. Model management is centralized in the admin panel. Add or swap models without downtime.

3
Configure RBAC and SSO

Connect your directory: LDAP, Active Directory, Okta, or Google Workspace. Opsily syncs users and groups automatically. Define who can access which models, who can upload documents, who can create RAG indexes.

Go live with audit logging and compliance

Every inference, model upload, user action, and document access is logged. Audit trails are compliant by default. Invite your teams. Scale your user base. Opsily handles multi-instance load balancing and session affinity.

Trust & Compliance Built In

Enterprises demand proof. Opsily delivers it.

GDPR Compliant

Your data stays yours. No processing agreement surprises. EU data residency is standard, not an add-on.

EU Data Centers

EU data residency for compliance. Your model inferences and documents never leave the EU.

Open Source Foundation

Open WebUI is open source (MIT license). No vendor lock-in. Run it yourself if you want. Opsily just handles the ops.

Audit Logging

Every inference, model change, and user action is logged. Export audit trails for compliance reviews.

No Per-Token Fees

Unlike cloud APIs, Ollama has no per-inference billing. One flat monthly price. No surprise usage bills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Ollama is a command-line runtime for running open-source language models locally. By itself, Ollama has no authentication, user management, or compliance features. Enterprise deployment means wrapping Ollama with governance: multi-user support, role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), audit logging, and compliance frameworks like GDPR. Open WebUI provides the web interface and multi-user layer. Opsily manages the entire infrastructure so you do not have to.
